For those who have been long awaiting the release of Picnic Raiders, the wait is over. Picnic Raiders is now available in the iTunes app store. You can purchase the full game here or you can try the free, lite version here, which has limited features. I highly recommend the full version of the game. It will be worth the price (which is basically the price of most songs that people buy on iTunes) for the amount of time that you will be hooked to the game.
Picnic Raiders is the newest mobile
application game by Gamebowl playable on the iPhone and iPad. With
26 levels as well as a mini-game called Whack-a-bug, Picnic Raiders
is expected to garner attention from the likes of non-gamers as well
as from those who just want to kill time tapping on their iPhone
screens. There are a lot of other bug squishing games out there so
why Picnic Raiders? Well, the name says it all. The game has an
interesting storyline to it. You're at a picnic and it seems that
you are running late. Out of nowhere, your picnic starts attracting
nearby bugs. So throughout the game, your challenge is to squish and
prevent your picnic from getting eaten. You have the common bugs
which are the ants, the beetles which take more taps to the screen to
squish, the caterpillar which is invincible so you have to actually
move it to the edge of your screen so it doesn't get near your food,
flying bugs which zig zag to your picnic food, and other different
bugs. Sometimes the bugs bite back you have to be careful which bugs
to squish first.
Once you start beating the levels, the
game will give you a new goal: to attain a #1 rank in the high
scores. Yes, the game includes a high score table. You can compete
with friends to see who can kill the most bugs in the time allotted
and who has the best bug-squishing combinations. Overall, Picnic
Raiders will keep you glued to your screen and keep your fingers
moving very fast. The more you practice, the better you will be in
beating the game. Whack-a-bug, the mini-game within Picnic Raiders,
has the same concept except that you are given a pie with 9 divided
areas. Bugs will pop in random areas on the pie. Your challenge
will be to squish the bugs as they pop up in different quantities and
at different speeds. Some bugs won't be squishable so you will
definitely need a strategy to pull through. If you want a new
bug-squishing challenge, test your skills at PicnicRaiders.com!
